MEET NIKKI SUU
I’m Nikki, founder of SUU Bespoke.
I work with bridal and eveningwear that needs more than a simple alteration. I look at how the dress sits on your body, where it needs support, where it needs reshaping, and how the silhouette can be adjusted so you feel comfortable and confident in it.
Whether it is a wedding dress, evening gown or special occasion piece, I alter each dress myself from my private studio in Kingston upon Thames.
TRAINED IN FASHION. GROUNDED IN REAL BRIDAL WORK.
I trained in pattern cutting, costume and fashion design, and later completed an MA at London College of Fashion.
Alongside my design training, I spent years working with bridalwear, altering ready-made wedding dresses, evening gowns and occasionwear.
That combination of design training and hands-on alteration work shapes how I approach a dress today. I look not only at what needs changing, but at how the garment has been constructed and how one alteration may affect the rest of the fit.
FIT IS NOT JUST ABOUT SIZE
A dress can be your size and still not sit correctly.
Sometimes the problem is proportion, balance or support rather than size itself. I look at how the whole dress sits on the body before deciding what needs to change.
A good alteration should make you feel comfortable, secure and confident.
