I’m Nikki, founder of SUU Bespoke.
I work with brides and women who have found a beautiful dress, but something about the fit, balance or support does not feel quite right yet.
My work is not simply about making a dress bigger or smaller. I look at how the garment sits on your body, where it needs support, where it needs softness, and how the silhouette can be adjusted so you feel more comfortable, secure and confident.
Whether it is a wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, evening gown or special occasion piece, my goal is simple: to help the dress feel like it truly belongs to you.
With training in pattern cutting, costume design, fashion design at UCA and an MA from London College of Fashion, I approach every dress through structure, proportion and movement.
Alongside my design training, I have spent years working behind bridal brands and bridal shops, altering ready-made bridal, evening and occasionwear pieces. This gave me a very practical understanding of the problems many women face when buying dresses today.
Many gowns look beautiful on the hanger, but they are not made for one individual body. They often need careful alteration, reshaping or restyling before they truly work.
I have also created custom-made garments for special bridal clients, which means I understand both sides of the process: how a dress is designed from the beginning, and how an existing dress can be reworked with care.
This is why my approach is designer-led, not just alteration-based.
A dress can be your size and still not feel right.
The problem is often structure: the neckline, bust, waist, balance or support.
I look at why the dress does not sit correctly, then adjust the proportion so it works better with your body.
A good alteration should make you feel comfortable, secure and confident.
If you have found a dress you love, but the fit does not feel quite right yet, I can help you understand what can be adjusted and what will make the biggest difference.
Together, we will look at the dress, your body shape, the structure, and how you want to feel when you wear it. The goal is not perfection. The goal is a dress that feels secure, balanced and truly right on you.
