If this is your first bridal fitting, you may be wondering what happens before you arrive and what you need to bring.
Most enquiries at SUU Bespoke start on WhatsApp. Send me a few clear photos of the dress, the areas you would like altered, and your wedding or event date. This gives me an idea of the work before we arrange your fitting.
For your first fitting, please bring the dress, the shoes you plan to wear, and the right underwear or bra if you already have them. These small details matter, especially for bridal and eveningwear, because they can change the length, support and overall fit of the dress.
I start by listening to what does not feel right, what concerns you, and what you would like to change.
Then I look at how the dress sits on your body: where it pulls, where it is loose, how the bodice is supported, and whether the proportions need adjusting.
Sometimes the job is simply improving the fit. Sometimes you may want to change part of the dress or restyle it.
I’ll explain the alterations I recommend, the price and the expected time frame before any work begins. Bridal alterations usually need several weeks, depending on the dress and the work required. More complex alterations or restyling may also need an additional fitting before collection. Short-notice work may be possible depending on availability and may incur a 20% surcharge.
Before you leave the fitting, you’ll know what I recommend changing, how much the work will cost and what happens next.
